DuckCarry / macOS

Features missing in the App Store edition

DuckCarry for Mac comes in two editions. The Mac App Store edition follows Apple’s App Sandbox rules; the full edition from this website does not have those limits.

Why some features differ

Apple requires every Mac App Store app to run in the App Sandbox. A sandboxed app may only open the files and drives you choose for it, plus its own storage.

DuckCarry copies to folders and drives and reads memory cards, so a few things work differently there. The full edition downloaded from this website has every feature.

This page is about macOS. On Windows there is one edition with every feature.

Only differences that follow directly from Apple’s published App Sandbox rules are listed.
